Testimonial: “This course helped me build trust and teamwork... It changed the way I work with my team and approach situations. Steve's genuine care made a huge difference. I've gained confidence in my leadership skills.”
Building a high-performing team with psychological safety requires establishing trust through open communication, encouraging diverse perspectives, and creating environments where team members feel safe to take risks. Leaders must model vulnerability, address team dynamics proactively, and foster collaboration while developing collective emotional intelligence for optimal team performance.
I guide teams through structured processes that transform their dynamics from the inside out. We focus on creating genuine connections and establishing norms that encourage authentic dialogue and shared accountability.
Is This For You?
I'm not interested in feel-good exercises that fade by Monday. Here's what teams actually get from our work together.
Get the real conversations out in the open. I create space where people can actually say what they think without fear of backlash.
Not trust-fall trust—real trust. The kind where people admit mistakes, ask for help, and have each other's backs when it matters.
Teams that work well together need fewer meetings. We'll streamline how you communicate and make decisions.
Everyone knows who owns what and actually follows through. No more balls getting dropped or fingers getting pointed.
Disagreement isn't the problem—avoiding it is. Your team will learn to hash things out without damaging relationships.
This isn't a one-time workshop high. We build habits and systems that keep working long after our engagement ends.
Every team is different, but here's the general approach. First, I get to know your team—what's working, what's not, and what you're trying to accomplish. Then we roll up our sleeves and get to work.
Individual conversations and assessment to understand the real dynamics
Regular team sessions where we tackle actual issues together
Between sessions, you apply what we discuss—I'm available when you get stuck
We track real outcomes, not just satisfaction scores
I draw from proven models, but I don't force teams into a one-size-fits-all program.
Different teams need different levels of support. Here are the options—we can also customize if none of these quite fit.
For teams that need a reset. We'll diagnose what's getting in your way and build a clear path forward.
The full experience. Deep work on trust, communication, and how you operate as a unit.
For teams that want to go from good to exceptional. Sustained coaching with embedded support.
Not sure which package fits? Let's talk. We'll figure out what works best together.

Real results from team coaching engagements
Team coaching is an ongoing process where a coach works with your leadership team over several months to build trust, improve communication, and create real accountability. Unlike one-time team building events (think ropes courses), team coaching addresses the actual issues your team faces—and creates lasting change because you're building new habits together.
Team building is typically a one-time event—think ropes courses or escape rooms. Team coaching is different. It's an ongoing process where I work with your team over several months to address real issues: trust gaps, communication breakdowns, unclear accountability. We tackle actual challenges you're facing, not hypothetical exercises. The changes stick because we're building new habits together.
Yes, and honestly it works better than most people expect. I've coached teams spread across multiple offices and time zones with great results. Virtual sessions actually have some advantages—easier scheduling, no travel logistics, and people often open up more from their own space. That said, I'm based in Cleveland and happy to come on-site for Northeast Ohio teams or travel for intensive workshops.
A few signs: meetings feel like a waste of time, the same issues keep resurfacing, people avoid difficult conversations, or there's visible tension that everyone pretends doesn't exist. If you're thinking 'we could be so much better,' that's usually enough. I offer a free discovery call where we can talk through what you're seeing and whether coaching makes sense.
I draw from several proven models depending on what your team needs. Patrick Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions of a Team is my go-to for trust and accountability issues. For teams going through transitions, Tuckman's Stages helps normalize the messy middle. I'm Hogan certified, so I often use their assessments to surface blind spots. But honestly, the framework matters less than doing the real work together.
Real change doesn't happen in a weekend. Most of my team coaching engagements run 3-6 months, meeting every two to four weeks. That gives time for people to practice new behaviors between sessions and for real patterns to shift. I offer different packages—some teams want a jumpstart over a few sessions, others commit to a longer transformation. We'll figure out what fits together.

Inspiring Quote: “A team is not a group of people who work together. A team is a group of people who trust each other. When you create psychological safety, you unlock collective genius.”
